Turquoise is a christian kid born in Petersburg some time ago. her parents were strictly conservative, and only let her listen to christian rock. she dreamed of being in a rock band with angels and God in attendance. she always had this one tune in her head when she thought of the opening of her set. her best friend gave her a CD of indie rock instrumentals, and she was hooked. she dreamed of being in a rock band, and in her dreams they stayed. no matter how hard she tried to make music, her parents disapproved, only wishing her to think and hope and dream of God and her faith.

she tried her hardest to keep her mind off of music, and back onto her faith. and yet it kept re-emerging. slurred and foggy, yet still calming on her cerebral cortex. it made her realize she must continue to dream and try to make music. for even in this crushed state, it was still beautiful and worth something!

One day, her friends at school told her they wanted to start a band, and she quickly accepted. Her dream as a musician was always to make a song with her friends in a band, and no amount of strict parents would stop her from doing it. not even her fear of God. She thought of the name "the martyr's club" cause she knew she was disobeying, but they shot it down, and called themselves "sunset starlight" instead. Turquoise is not bitter, so she said.

After a while, sunset starlight got their first big gig! It was a school dance (the DJ was found unconscious next to a koala bear changing seat, don't ask), but they didn't mind. Turquoise, however decided not to play, because she was asked out by the girl of her dreams. The other bandmates didn't want to get yelled at by her parents, who were coming, so they didn't mind. She and her friend held onto their shoulders and hands, and awkwardly danced and jived, as her band played their signature song. Turquoise couldn't care any less in that music, she felt beautiful and brilliant. Her friend was very happy turquoise was happy. Then, she noticed there was an opportunity, so she went up on stage, and played the piano left on stage. She usually played drums, and her parents were in disbelief their daughter disobeyed them. She didn't notice the impending doom around her tho, she knew she was making beautiful music, and she danced with her best friend!! and to her, that's all that truly mattered.

There were a few days when Turquoise's parents were cold and distant to her. She felt like a ghost to them. But then, they decided to baptize turquoise in a hidden river! Turquoise was excited, she finally got to go on an adventure. Turquoise was so excited, she hummed shoegaze and rock songs on the way to the forest! In the car, in the parking lot, on the trail, at the picnic where she ate crunchy brownies, in the forest, and when she got in the river. She was very excited to be one step closer to God, and to show her faith to him.
